At Home For Christmas is a project created by singer/songwriter Harry Grillo. In an effort to secure a reasonable donation for his favorite charities, Harry came up with the concept of making a Christmas album with all profits going directly to charity. With the help of some of his musician friends, it has become an annual effort with an expanding roster of indie talent all offering their skills for the sake of some excellent charitable organizations.
Artists appearing on 2010's album include Rob Astor, Lorraine and Dale Kay of Inquisitor Betrayer, and William Mozingo.
2011's AHFC II included: Harry Grillo, Rob Astor, William Mozingo, Bobby Ray Bittle, Matthew Huff, Josh Harris, Don Schiff, Reid Stevens, Darren "Dew Train" Camp, Mike Alvarez and Nikki Shae. AHFC II was a modest success.
In 2012 At Home For Christmas III was released and did very poorly in contrast with the previous year. Founder Harry considered calling it quits, but after some prodding from Dew Train decided to test the waters. Suddenly everything fell into place!
Charities AHFC has supported include St. Jude's Children's Hospital and Project meet Me Halfway. 2013's album focused exclusively on MMH's continued efforts for foster children. It featured tracks by artists who have shown their passion for this project by donating new recordings year after year! Dew Train outdoes himself with his acoustic original, "Hurry On Home for Christmas". Actor/singer Riley Smith performs the catchy "Pimp Daddy Santa", and Reid Stevens offers an exhuberent "Joy To the World".
2014 featured many of the same artists as well as The Kings of Christmas, a vocal group that includes original members of the world famous Trans-Siberian Orchestra! Returning artists included Dew Train, Reid Stevens, Helder Rock, William Mozingo and cellist Mike Alvarez.
AHFC is always looking for self-employed artists to contribute - If you would like to be a part of next year's project please send a message to us for details.
